Beginning with an attachment to a deceased fly and shaped by a desire to reach something that exceeds the self, Microscope approaches the self as being no longer central, attempting to recognise one’s equivalence with other living beings.
Using a microscope and alternative methods of photography, the photographs become studies, which recontextualise the subjects to explore and understand their importance.
